NWP News 14/01/2018

Good morning,

apologies for the late one. Walk and Learn To Saturday, then training up new walk leaders Sunday. #exhausted

Please congratulate Nordic Walking Preston’s newest Walk Leaders – Gill Finn and Angela Clarke. See their profiles on our webpage About Us page (just click the link to get right there www.nordicwalkingpreston.co.uk).

Good effort folks this past week on the walks, although there are some of you who are still hiding. Were you hit by the Christmas flu ? Or is that you’ve not yet managed to kick-start your 2018 health and fitness regime fully yet ?

Whatever the case just get in touch if you need a nudge, or have any questions, concerns or queries.

For those challenged on both the nutrition side as well as the exercise and motivation side we are launching soon a brand new 28-day Lifestyle program. I am currently trialling it out and am loving the simple and consistent movitation as well as interesting ideas and recipes. If you’d like to know more just shoot me an email or PM, or give me a call. Here to help !!

Please note that we are launching a new event for 2018 – the Invitation walk. This allows you to invite your family, friends, or colleagues to a regular walk (with or without poles) so that they can become more familiar with what you do, meet the group, and get an idea of how much benefit and fun we all get from Nordic walking. Plus, of course, the chance to have a chat and a coffee with you.

Quick reminder about our next Learn To Nordic Walk course taking place this time in Astley Park in Chorley, and on a Sunday (21st to be precise). This is a great opportunity for anyone from Preston, South Ribble or Chorley areas to get into Nordic walking, and even join us on our Adventure walk to Rivington Pike on the last Sunday of this month.

Congratulations also to all the ladies who completed their Learn To this Saturday at Avenham Park. Welcome to the group. We look forward to seeing you on some of our upcoming walks.

Our first Adventure Walk of 2018 has been devised by our newest walk leader Angela Clarke. We are already approaching 20 attendees, and it’s looking like its going to be a great walk. Good terrain, great views, and a secret location for a brew or brunch afterwards.

The Team hope to see you there.

So, Monday already !! Why not try something new and explore a new area this evening. Come and join Matt in Chorley. Or the rest of the team on our regular walks throughout the week.

Have a good one !
